Bummer!

I am so bummed out. I went to tvtome.com to see what Adrienne´s, the winner from the first season of America´s Next Top Model, last name was, and I accidentally saw who won the 2nd season, which is being aired here now. In fact it was a girl who I suspected was going to win, but I didn´t want to know who was going to win! I even saw who was the runner-up, but I didn´t expect that girl to get so far!
I´ve said it before and I will say it again:
Bummer.

I was "googling" and...

...I accidentally stumbled upon this page. It´s soooo sad! There are all these pages with stories (and pictures) of these poor kids... I practically cried every time I looked at a page!!!

Shoes!

I looove buying shoes! I just realised that on Saturday. Well, I looove buying shoes, but I do not looove searching for shoes good enough for me. I´m a very picky person.
So on Saturday I went to Kringlan (the only mall in Reykjavík) to buy "fancy shoes" - I didn´t find an English word for it in the Icelandic Wordbank, but in Latin it´s called calceolaria luxurians!. I went to every store in the mall that sells shoes, but didn´t find anything I liked. Then I walked past the Bianco Footwear store. I thought it was just like all the other stores; with one good pair of shoes, which would be way too expensive for me - even though I am quite rich - so I didn´t bother to go in. I walked aroud a little more, but then I passed the Bianco store again. "Ah, what the hell," I thought; maybe, just maybe, there might be sth I like. So I go in, and what´s the first thing I see? A veeery pretty pair of shoes. A bit hard on my purse, but very pretty indeed. I decided to see if there were any prettier shoes before I tried these on, and 6 pairs along the shelf I saw the most b-e-a-utiful pair of shoes I have ever seen. High-heeled, but not too high; a soft flowery pattern: light green, yellow and pink; a thin, pink-ish fake leather lining and a bow on the toes that match the lining. Absolutely b-e-a-utiful! And not only that, they are also veeery comfortable. And last but not least; they were veeery cheap! Only 3900 isk. kr ($55/£29,33)!!!! So of course I bought them. And have barely taken them of since.
Bye for now!

Correction!

It has been pointed out to me that I forgot a cutie. The cutie, to be exact. So to make up for it, I felt it was my duty not only to post one, but three pictures of him.
So, ladies and gentlemen, I give you:

Cuties!

So since I, at last, have finished my Icelandic essay (about daydreams - pure gibberish, but my mom the writer said it was good so...) I decided to have a little fun and find pictures of lots and lots of cute, hot, beautiful actors/musicians.
Enjoy the eyecandy!

My darling, little spud!

I just submitted a poem in a contest on allpoetry.com. It´s weird. But read it, please! And tell me what you think. You must "sneeze," because if you´re not a member of allpotery.com, you can´t comment there. But I want to know what you think! So here it is, it´s called My darling, little spud.
Guess what it´s about.
Yup.
That´s right.
It´s an ode to a potatoe!

Still bleeding to death. I can feel the veins bursting inside me.

It´s hard to be a woman/girl.
Or like our little Miss Spears says: Not a girl, not yet a woman.

Blooood...

The average woman bleeds once a month (they say once a month, because the bleeding doesn´t stop) from the age of 9-15 (yes, I know of a girl who started her period at 9) until they´re 50. And if they don´t bleed once a month after it starts, they are either seriously ill, or pregnant.

What the hell did Eve ever do to God, so heinous that he decided to not only punish her, but all of her female descendants, by making them lose so much blood in their life? I mean, he punished her for eating that apple by kicking her and Adam out of paradise, but what else did she do???

What a mess!

I was thinking about taking a picture of my room, as I believe I have broken my own record of throwing dirty socks, clothes and schoolbooks on the floor and not pick them up. But I don´t have any film in my camera, so I´ll just have to keep up the good work until I get one.

Fishy

My biology teacher has a huge nose. Not a potato-huge, more like Pinocchio-huge. Or should I say long.
My brother has got me hooked on a computer game called Something Fishy. I simply cannot stop playing it. I´ve gotten up to level 7, which is tough I tell you, it´s tough!
My Danish teacher is on some convention in Estonia (or Latvia, not sure), so today and yesterday we were just watching some film called Elsker dig for evigt (I will love you forever). It´s a Dogme-film, and I hate Dogme-films. The constantly moving camera, no music except if sb is listening to it. I prefer more unrealistic Hollywood films. Well, I´ve actually seen one Dogme film that was good: Pieces of April. IMDb doesn´t say it´s a Dogme-film, but as far as I know it follows all the rules of Dogme95´s The Vow of Chastity. I´m not sure if rules no.9 and no.10 are followed, but to me it´s all the same.
Anyways. Pieces of April is a good movie. Go and rent the video. Now.
Well, must go to bed. Or maybe play Something Fishy one more time.

Mush!

Sloth
You are Sloth!Lazy huh ?? You're a bit slow in getting going -
and tend not to do anything unless it is
absolutely necessary. You'd rather sit around,
watch TV/Sleep then go out and about with
friends, or take part in a sporting event. On
the positive side, you tend to be quite smart,
as you spend a lot of time watching the News
(!!) or on the computer, Also by conserving
your energy, it's right there waiting for you
when it's vitally important to get going.Consider possibly moving out of the room once in a
while - and perhaps once a week trade watching
TV for half an hour with a walk - and you'll be
back on track. However, Congratulations on being the most
intelligent of the 7 deadly sins...

Thank you, thank you. *waves in a princess-like manner*. I´ve always taken pride in being a synonym for "sloth". Sid the Sloth is my role model. He isn´t the dog on this picture, though. Sid the Sloth is, in fact, a sloth! I don´t spend a lot of time watching the news, like it says in the text.

Disappointed!

I´m so disappointed! Why won´t anyone agree with me that that guy looks nothing short of amazing?
Today I have a few short sentences, that may not have anything to do with each other.

I shouldn´t be doing this right now, what I should be doing is work on that 250 word essay draft I have to hand in on Thursday. I´m writing about daydreaming. And I should know plenty about that, what with all the thinking about Scotland and all, but this essay is supposed to be about daydreaming, not a daydream. What the hell am I supposed to write?
The first choir practice was today. It was so fun. So great to be back at that loft, singing good songs. There were so many freshmen there! But the time that I started to feel like a "big girl", was when we who were in the choir last year sang a few songs -great songs I might add- for the new people. I remember when, only a year ago, the people who were in the choir the year before that, sang for us new ones, and I was so amazed, I didn´t think I could ever learn these songs, and felt sooo small! But now we sang the very same songs, plus one that we learned last year (all of these songs are faves of the choir so it was especially good), and I really felt like a "big girl".
On Saturday I started feeling feverish. The night before my mom had told me about how Brits (and probably most parts of the world) don´t heat up the houses, because it´s so expencive. Some have "central heating", but that is very expencive. Since I had never known extreme cold (inside at least), living in a house, a country, where I can just turn up the heat on the radiator; so I was shocked. And the winters in Scotland are even colder than here! I could barely believe it, and suddenly the idea of moving to another country didn´t seem so appealing anymore. But mom just joked about it and said that we would just buy warm sweaters. So on Saturday I went to Vero Moda and bought two "warm" sweaters. Of course they aren´t warm. They´re actually quite cool. Anyways. On Saturday evening I took my temperature, and it was 37,8°Celcius. So I didn´t go out at all on Sunday, and this morning my temperature was up to 37,9°C, and I had a full-blown cold. Stuffy nose and all. But I couldn´t stay home. It´s so hard to catch up, even if I don´t go to school for a couple of days. So I went to school, and then I went, as I said above, to choir practice. Now, being Icelandic (=prone to catching a cold) and in a choir, I have discovered something. And I know this for certain, because there have been several occasions where could "study" this. Anyways. I foud out, that when you have a cold, it´s easier to reach the high and low notes, but a lot harder to sing the "ones in the middle". Being a soprano 2, this isn´t too good for me.
I watched Dr. No (James Bond no.1) on SkjárEinn last night. I don´t know if you´ve seen it, but it features a big, hairy spider in one scene. Guess what I dreamt about?

Well, this hasn´t exactly been a few sentences unrelated to each other, but whatever. I suppose I must slow down a bit, and go to bed and rest. But not until I´ve had yet another Sun Lolly. These things are addictive.
Nightynight (and don´t forget to tell whoeverheis how cute, handsome and wonderful he looks!).

Look at her fingers...
|

-: Trina illustrated her blog at 23:54:-

A pain in the b***

I just love my little brother. He never ceases to annoy me, but he does have his cute sides. Monday before last, he broke his arm. Even though the fracture is just above the wrist, he has to wear a cast all the way up to his shoulder. Poor kid. Anyways. He just started taking the bus to school. Today and yesterday my mom went with him in the bus to school, but she picked him up yesterday. So today was the first time he took the bus alone home. After school he went to a friend´s house, and then, around 6 pm, he went home, like he had promised. And not only did he take the bus alone, but he also explained the bus map to a tourist. In English! And he´s not even ten years old yet!
You gotta admire him some times!
Anyways.
I went downtown (well, not really, as I live there) to buy a birthday present for mom. She´s turning 39 tomorrow. And do you know what I came home with? A present, of course, but also a CD. For me. To be more specific; Songs About Jane, with Maroon5. Excellent CD. Excellent band.
When I was in th erecord store, I noticed shelves where there were CDs with some of the bands that will be playing at Iceland Airwaves. And guess what CD was in the top shelf, right in my line of vision. Hopes and Fears, with Keane, only one of the best bands in the world!!! I just have to go to that concert! I have to! There´s only one complication. I don´t know anyone who also likes Keane, so I don´t have anyone to go with. Kinda sad.
But what the heck. I can go alone.
Well, must go, then.
Bye bye.
